How much does it cost to move a mobile home? Hook-up, millage, drop-off...etc?

I am considering buying a mobile home located in a park. I was wondering what the cost might be to move it out of the park. I don't want to get stuck with the lot rent if I am unable to sell it later.

The cost varies widely, you should get ahold of local movers to see what it is in your area, and get multipule estimates.

If you did move it, where would you move it to? If you have some land set up great, but if you are going to live in the park that must not be the case. If you can't sell it in a park then you will only have worse time selling it out of the park.

If you have very hard time you can lease option the trailor and find more buyers who might not qualify for a loan, which can be hard on a trailor, especially a pre 1978 one which has aluminum wiring, and most areas of the country won't allow you to move those anywhere anyway. Or you could rent it, but most parks require that they approve anyone moving in, well about all parks do that so check with the managment about their policy so you know that ahead of time.

I know you didn't ask that, but it seemed those were things you didn't consider, which is common because you don't do this every day, anyway I thought it important to bring it up.
