Bringing home a new puppy and need some help?
I am bringing home a new puppy in two weeks. and i want to be as prepared as i can be.What are some importants things to remember. And also what are some things that are posinus towards dog. such plants, food and other household items. thanks for the help
Congrats on the new pup! Some things that'll be helpful and make the little guy comfortable are buying a cheap blanket and either a pendulum (electric or mechanical) or a clock that actually ticks. Take the blanket to breeder's house and ask them to put it in the mother's bed. This way, it will start to smell like her. When you bring him home, he can sleep on it and be comforted by the familiar smell of his mother. When it's time for bed, it's also nice to turn on the pendulum or keep the clock in the room so that it sets a rhythm, like the heartbeat of his mother and litter mates.
Lots of things are unhealthy for dogs, and especially dangerous to puppies. I would suggest putting all plants and chemicals where he can't reach them. Be sure to put cleaners and other household chemicals in cabinets so that he won't eat or chew on them. Try to hide all wires so that he can't chew through those either. Must puppies never have a problem with that sort of thing, but it's better to be safe than sorry. Get him lots of toys to chew on (but NOTHING that resembles a household item, even if it's a cute toy shaped like a sock) so that he isn't tempted to eat or chew on anything dangerous.
Good Luck!

Home Shopping For Your New Home
After moving into a new home, many people start complaining about the defects in the new home. This happens because they did not do proper planning and home work before buying the home.
If you do not want such a situation, you should adopt the smart way of home shopping. What happens is that when you shop a home, you will fall in love at first sight with the home. The home for sale always looks like a new bride, with all adornments, highly decorated, well maintained and clean. You will feel that you have got the home of your dream.
What else is required to get into romance with that house?
Do you know the smart way of home shopping?
If you shop in the smart way, you can avoid many unpleasant occasions in future. First of all you should check whether the rooms are spacious enough to adjust all your furniture the way you want to place them. Some homes are designed such that some furniture can be fit only in some locations. These types of restrictions will obstruct you from a nice interior decoration.
There are cases where the furniture is not fit even through the doors. If you adjust in such a congested home, you will see that your fridge somewhere and TV somewhere else with no comfort of viewing. This is extremely important to keep in your mind before deciding up on the new home.
Most of us will be buying only one home in whole of our life span. Therefore, it is essential to have future requirements as well in your mind while shopping for a home. Presently your family might have only two members, enjoying the free honeymoon period, but down the road you will have kids and the family member will grow up. It is essential to take these into account while deciding on a home. Get large house as much as possible.
Of course, if your future needs are such that you require only small home, you can absolutely go with that. Suppose your children are grown up and they have started leaving the home, you will not be having the requirement of a big house. All will depend on your future requirements. Make sure that you have considered these items while deciding on the home.
Apart from the size of the home, most of us will have some attachment to some items. For example when I purchased a home, I decided on a house with a pool and hot tub. So I restricted my search to only those homes with these facilities. So if you have any special requirements, do not forget to see that they are available in the home. Please take into account the cost of the home and the maintenance charges for these items in long run.
Another factor, which has to be considered in shopping the house, is the location of the house. Some people may look for houses in the outskirts and some others prefer city life. Some may see whether stores are nearby and some others may opt out places where lots of stores are placed. Location of the home has a direct impact on the cost of the house. Homes for city life will absolutely cost more money.
If you ask me my advice on smart ways for home shopping, I will suggest you go slowly, do not rush. Do proper home work and write a detailed plan. Let the plan contain all of your requirements, your budget for the home, the location you prefer, the source of funding and many such items. This will perfectly help you to locate your dream home.
